Connection Node
A connection node is a curve or line linking two nodes. You can set arrow or circle markers at each endpoint. The start and end can be anchored to a specific node, or placed freely on the canvas.
Creating a Connection
Select the "Connection tool" on the toolbar. Hover over the edge of the source node to reveal anchor points, then drag to the target node's anchor point and release to create a connection.
Free Endpoints
Releasing the drag on an empty area of the canvas creates a free-floating endpoint. You can later drag the endpoint to anchor it to a node using the selection tool.
Waypoints
Double-click a connection line to add a waypoint for fine-grained routing. Double-click a waypoint to delete it.
Endpoint Markers
| Position | Options |
|---|---|
| From marker | None / Arrow / Circle |
| To marker | None / Arrow / Circle |
Style Settings
- Line color: Color of the connection line
- Line width: Width of the line (px)
- Marker size: Size of the from/to markers (set independently)
- Shadow: Color, opacity, X/Y offset, and blur
Endpoint Margins
The "From margin" and "To margin" settings offset the start and end of the drawn connection line from the anchor point. A positive value creates a gap between the node contour and the line. A negative value causes the line tip to slightly overlap into the node.
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| From margin | Offset distance at the start (px). Positive = gap, negative = overlap | 0 |
| To margin | Offset distance at the end (px). Positive = gap, negative = overlap | 0 |
